Painting passion

Whenever I paint something I have to be feeling it or I just won’t do it. Having a creative mind shouldn’t be used to build anything if your hearts not willing to feel the passion of bringing it to life.

Intuition, passion and drive is what fuels me to create anything and I do it for the kick I get out of it working out. When it fails which it sometimes does I have learned something from it. Arts a constant battle for me. I honestly struggle with it but if something works out the feeling is priceless.  In a material world artists can escape and time stands still for many of us. We all have the battle of Ai now creating things instantly but I honestly feel Ai art is worthless. Real human beings need the connection of a real artist. Would you go to an Ai art gallery? Where’s the passion behind that?

Somebody gave me a challenge to paint the Joker and the new harlequin for 2024. Once I looked into it I could clearly see that Harlequins character wasn’t truly unleashed in the movie script as it was her introduction. A few days after I painted them both but put my own interpretation of what I think she should have looked like. This piece took 2 weeks to do and I really struggled with parts of it. The end result is like a poster design but of a comic kind of cover look. I used liquitex acrylics, chalk acrylic and a 80x60cm canvas on a thick frame for this one.

Love at first sight

Lol… I actually wonder what lady gaga would think of this. Love or lust?
