Which activities make you lose track of time?
Looking back over the last month
Art is time consuming but at the same time whilst I paint I’ve found that time seems to stand still. I actually get lost in it like a never ending kind of romance with it’s ups and downs as well as it’s struggles through the journey. Things never go as originally planned and end up in a multitude of changes for an outcome. It’s a relationship and you have to constantly work at it and try and be conscious in each stage of its development.
Art imitates life and time passes unnoticed during each love affair through paint.
Painting is my obsession. My next piece will be Alain Delon the french actor from purple moon and maybe Sofia loren after that. I have to feel it to paint it or I just can’t put the effort in. The never ending battle trying to avoid procrastination as it lurks over my shoulder waiting for an opportunity to creep in.
